Growing up I was fortunate enough to have a family who wasnt strict on a certain life path and allowed me to explore to find things out on my own, in which I spent a lot of times in nature or reading books on the world around me, how it works and how it is filled with less of creatures, plants and matter. My exploration continued to the basic biology of animals and different organisms. I grew a fondness of the natural phenomena of the world which encouraged me to focus on sciences growing up, mostly the biological side as with the chemical It was difficult to imagine atoms bonding and reactions being performed through words and numbers alone at first. I learned through seeing things in the world, either through a device or in person. Atoms live in the quantum realm and so I had difficulties and had to change my d set when faced with a chemical question. My parents help in this interest of e as a child was a great help with the numerous books on the world and animals and how everything interacts with each other.
In high school I got sidetracked due to peer pressure, new found insecurities, and a rushing focus of anxiety that if I don’t get a good grade, I wouldn’t be worth it which didn’t encourage me to achieve much but certain subjects comforted me through the experience and science still remained at the top of my focus. My issues continued till the day of my high school graduation I fell into a deep depression during my mid-teens. When I arrived at pre university (known as 6th form in Jamica) I had a more focus d. I was able to slowly pass through my obstacles over the lock down period in my ry as it made me be alone I wasn’t influenced by anyone. There I grew back my confidence, my sense of self and my curiosity of the world and though it happened slowly my grades and thirst for knowledge improved. I am still healing and learning of life, I feel as though sooner or later Ill be my best self again. I want to apply for medicine because it will help me achieve certain goals, my family on my father side has Alzheimers and knowing that I may have it encourages me to find ways to treat it. I never got the chance to meet the person he was which encourages me even more to help find a treatment for other people and I personally want to join the world of medicine and discover how simply using the world recourse can be utilized to improve or save lives. After graduation I didnt go to college because I f I wasnt ready or didnt grow enough to be fully independent so I decided to work for my family company and do all of the hobbies and activities I wished I did during school so far I have seen improvement in myself but I dont feel Ive grown up, or properly mature enough and Im okay with that just means there is a lot to learn. Due to my fathers passing i will be applying for loans and scholarships to pay for my studies.
I believe as a candidate for this program my ability to visualize situations as if they are there is a useful tool to understanding a person and I am passionate on the biological aspects, on the chemical aspect my skills are growing as I get to understand how they exist in the natural world (or more like how they are perceived in the world). My personality and attitude towards people have been known to be respec or quiet, Im learning to build up my skills to speak more of my d when the situation arises and Im constantly restless and full of energy, ready to do something active. I try to spend that energy on my hobbies. In the medicine program I am honestly open to everything about medicine, it fascinates me, but Im interested more in neurology, cardiology and radiology course due to the necessity of the focused organs to the body and the science or radiology. Simply put, to be welcomed in the medicine program would be the next step on my journey to help and understand people and to understand the world and, I hope, this is an accepted motivational form.
